Cheika Attends England’s Meeting

While the games ensue between England and Australia, there are meetings being held between the two countries as well. A meeting has been called by England and referee, Craig Joubert which Australia will also attend. Joubert is about to referee for the second Test as well which would be held in Brisbane.

Tensions are ripe as the second Test will begin soon. The step that Australia has taken to attend the meeting of England definitely points to the fact that they have points to discuss and matters to clear so that misunderstandings do not aggravate the matches. (more…)

Bath returned to form in style running in two tries as they crushed London Irish 30-3 to bring an end to their recent losing streak.

Bath had lost 5 in a row, not winning in the league since October in the build up to the New Years Day clash with the Exiles. Head coach, Sir Ian McGeechan, was under significant pressure to bring the West Country giants back to winning ways.

For a team that has been lacking form to such an extent they played with an impressive free flowing style, running in a try in each half, through Anthony Perenise on 16 minutes and Michael Claassens on 58 minutes with a penalty try also being added in the closing minutes.
