The Bath Rugby’s ex-coach, Mike Ford has agreed a contract with one of the Major League Rugby clubs in US, Dallas.

Dallas Griffins is one of the nine teams forming the Major League Rugby and with theobjective of starting their games in 2018.

Mike’s previous job was with Toulon, the second place in the French Top 14, where he left in May for him to“concentrate on another project against the coming summer”.

Last Saturday, the Bath’s ex-coach went for the USA match against Republic of Ireland that took place at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey.

Bath Rugby signed Mike as a manager in May 2013 which saw him lead them to the Championship Cup spot and to the final of Amlin Challenge Cup.

Bath Rugby under the ex-coach Mike in 2014/15 campaign ended in second position in Premiership and also lost to Saracens in Aviva final.

Meanwhile, he won the Aviva Premiership Director of Rugby award in the year 2015.

“This Dallas project has been in my discussion with Phil for well more than twelve months now and the challenges definitely makes me happy.” Mike made known in an email statement when he arrived at Dallas.

“It is an opportunity for me to get out of my comfort zone which I know the experience will be invaluable.” he added.

Speaking on, Mike noted that he had been offered a chance to begin afresh, right from the bottom with people that thought the same way he did, and with the same goals and objectives.

Having gone through a disappointing season which saw Bath finish 9th in the table, Mike Ford left the club at the end of the 2015-2016 season after an in depth review of the club was carried out to “start new project” with Dallas in US Major League Rugby.
