Bath Rugby Welcomes Josh Lewis

The fly-half Josh Lewis has signed for Bath Rugby and would join the club for 2017/18 season from Ebbw Vale.

Bath Rugby is indeed overjoyed to welcome Lewis. His form in Ebbw Vale SWALEC Championship 2013 achieved a move to the Scarlets and is now waiting to make his presence felt in the West Country. This player from Sydney is popular for his halfback and has played for Sydney Roosters and Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League. Lewis made his first appearance by playing in 2006 for the Roosters. He was on the lookout to achieve his initial position and was released from his previous contract. Thereafter he became a part of the Gold Coast Titans in the 2007 season. His first match was definitely one of the best performances he showed as he kicked the field goal with 2 tries against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The 25 year old has shown his standout performances which made him earn this great deal with the West Wales region. His development continued to show to win the Principality Premiership with Llanelli as he gathered scores of 350 in 36 games. TAPUAI – WE NEED TO CLOSE OUT GAMES BETTER

The final minutes of the game between Bath and Gloucester in the ongoing Anglo-Welsh Cup saw Gloucester come away with a late draw.

Ben Tapuai of Bath Rugby believes that his team needs to do more in closing out games.

Bath had gone through an implausible first half display against Gloucester, but were able to recover along the way. At five minutes left on the clock, they held a 17-10 lead.

Not quite long after, Aled Brew’s score was cancelled out by the visiting side as they scored a try of theirs at 78 minutes. James Hook followed up with the conversion, thus levelling the score line.

Responding to the question of how he felt after they had come so close to victory and yet saw it snatched from underneath them, Tapuai reiterated that his team mates were proud of their efforts, despite not coming off with a win. Read more »

ANOTHER ENGLAND COMEBACK NOT CERTAIN FOR SEMESA ROKODUGUNI

Whether he makes a comeback to the England Rugby team or not, it is quite uncertain yet and SemesaRokoduguni would have to sweat on that.

Luckily, Rokoduguni went through the latest cull of the England Rugby squad and survived it. However, this does not mean the Bath player would be opportune to make a second international comeback in the game against Australia later this weekend.

The previous weeks had seen England’s coach, Eddie Jones, reduce the number of the squad, naming only one or two specialist wingers, thus making it easy to know who would make the squad for the match.

11 backs were named this week, and one might likely end up being omitted. Rokoduguni, Harlequins’ MarlandYarde and Jonny May, Gloucester’s player are all included.

Up in the front, 14 forwards are still in the mix, yet to be selected and one would likely miss out. Jones retained only four locks, which includes Bath Rugby’s Dave Attwood and Charlie Ewels. Read more »
